SHS Ground Floor Plan

This committee will work through the March 2009 school district budget vote, at the least, depending on outcomes and next steps required to continue to address facilities K-12. At its meeting on August 6, 2008, the Board approved a very flexible timeline within which was a list of outcomes and/or activities for the Building Committee to accomplish:

From the Timeline: To inform and listen to feedback from the community about the building options presented to the School Board by the SRC, to develop and put out a Request for Proposal for architectural fees/work including all options for delivery of services using an outside technical consultant (known as a Board’s rep), to review the RFP's received and make a recommendation to the School Board, and to develop an draft of an article for the March 2009 school district warrant regarding architectural services.

All this will be subject to School Board approval at every step. Hopefully, the community can see that where and when one long-working committee ends its work, the next committee will pick it up and will carry it forward. Every step has been thoughtful, careful, and purposeful with every intention of keeping the community informed about and included in the work.

We have received your Request for Qualifications for architectural services, and we submit the following information for your review.

Claremont Building Committee Purpose

Members of the Claremont School Board realize that all of the Claremont School District's buildings, including the administrative building for Supervisory Administrative Unit #6, need to support the District's educational goals.

The Claremont School District's Claremont Building Committee , under the authority of the Claremont School Board, will develop an acceptable comprehensive community master plan which addresses those needs associated with each of the District's facilities.
